Codename: VI — The Hyundai Equus

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Okay, I have to admit — Hyundai is one of those brands I do not really give much thought to most of the time. But the recently released second rendering of the Equus, codenamed the Hyundai VI in this context, really drew my attention — although I am not precisely sure why.

It is the second generation of the manufacturer’s luxury sedan, designed to be positioned before even the Genesis, which pretty much places it at the top of the manufacturer’s portfolio.

Its competition? Vehicles like the Mercedes S-Class, the Audi A8, and even the BMW 7 Series. Hardcore, am I right?

As you can see, the Korean manufacturer’s claims that this is a luxurious and powerfully styled car definitely come true.

The problem? It is not yet known whether this flagship sedan will be available in any of the overseas market. Bummer, right?

Choosing The Right Car For Your Teen!

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

To be perfectly honest, choosing a car for you is something that is difficult, however whenever you add choosing a car for a teenage in there – it makes it that much harder.  The one thing that you want to remember is that you do not buy a brand new car – it is a known fact that people will treat their first car terrible and if you are buying your teenager a car, why would you want to spend your money on something they are not going to treat right?

Next, you have to keep the size in mind.  You want something that is small, quirky and cute – as that is what most teenagers are looking for.  At least the girls, if you are shopping for a teenage boy, you want to make sure that you find a car that has some muscle behind it.

You also want to keep in mind that this is a car that their friends are going to be in as well.  Ensuring that the car is four door is a fantastic idea too.

Riversimple Creates Concept of ‘Urban Car’

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

To be perfectly frank, I am not sure I have ever heard of the Riversimple name before. I think — I am not sure but I think — it might be a European car, perhaps particularly popular in England.

If that is the case, it just makes me want to jump the pond even more than I already do. It is just a concept so far, for an urban car, but what a concept!

Visually, it looks sort of like an alien VW Bug, maybe with a little bit of Mini DNA thrown in for good measure. I think the result is … adorable, is absolutely the only word for it. It is cuter than kittens.

It is an extremely lightweight car and it runs on a hydrogen fuel cell. So, it is smart and cute!
